______PropShop 7016/3 modified for Pro Mod. Zen's______ The modified 7016/3 ran the oval course very well, on a Pro-Mod MidWest G-23/ Stryker Cat. It pulled strong threw the turns and got up to speed quickly. Note, it doesn't perform as well as a X470, 472, or 670 in heat racing, however it can be 5 > 6 mph faster down the straight. The strut has to be raised to about 1/2" above the sponsons, with a positive angle to unload the motor and allow the cat to "Hang". I did a lot of Mods on this prop. Extreme Back-Cut/ reduced Dia from 2.76" > 2.68" by the (radius of the entire leading edge). Slightly bent tips to increase pitch, reduce lift, and redirect the "thrust cone" future aft. The stock 7016/3 is to much prop for G-23's, it needs the above mods. This prop also runs very well with the newer stock and modified 260 Zen's, in cats, mono's and vee's. P Govostes 4/2004 |
