Stryker IV Powered By QuickDraw         

This was my 1st boat to reach 72mph on Radar 1997. RC Boat Wks. Stryker Cat, powered by a full weight 35 QuickDraw A4p engine. Double Cut QD steel pipe, 30degree ignition timing, 175exhaust timing, decked 18k head & Modified H50 prop. After installing the new modified QD engine, cut pipe, and custom prop, I made special for this setup. I'll never forget the cold day I ran it in early Feb.1998.The edges of this small pond were iced over 12ft out, which presented a challenge launching and retrieving. I leaned the H-jet to only 3/4out, because of the high air density (105%) and blocked-off 1 water pickup and let her rip. I was shocked to hear the high pitch rpm and how brutally fast it ran. My friend pointed the radar gun in it's general direction and got a 70mph reading on a short run. Because the pond was small with the edges iced over, there wasn't enough room to reach top speed. We did our best to get a 72mph bounce, running head on @ the gun, however if I had more pond to reach peak rpm, I think it would have ran 2>3mph faster. (No Cowl)
