MidWest G23 Stryker Engine Close-up Older version Midwest Pro-Mod G23 Engine set-up in a Stryker Cat mounted 13" from center of spark plug, to rear edge of transom. Full length QuickDraw pipe with Collet Drive. All Speedmaster running hardware, with dual pickup rudder, cut short and mounted on the right side of transom. The dual pickups are split off to one water inlet. This boat came together very well with a perfect CG; it turns like on rails, very stable and tracks straight with zero rudder correction. 13lbs RTR dry. Best speed 63mph with a modified H50 (2.45"dia x 5.7"pitch). Rolled tips and Spooned blades. (2.3 Aspect Ratio) This cat setup for oval trim, will run 55 > 57mph with the trick H50; making it a very respectable heat race boat. Note: the velocity stack was removed and it gained 1&1/2mph, I don't recommend V-Stacks on 2 stroke gas engines. We always run Honda HP-2 Synthetic Oil (32 >1ratio) 4oz's oil > 1 gal low octane pump gas. However many guys prefer 5 >7 oz's to a gallon. I've never had a problem with 32 > 1, and manage to get a little more top speed. Paul Govostes 8/2000
