My first (25.6)J&G Billet Engine (Older Version) (Stryker Cat) 66mph with a custom H-50 Prop & Double Cut QD Pipe & a Walbro WYK-33 Barrel Carb.1998. 13lbs RTR Dry Weight. Note: I originally ran a full length QD Pipe on this setup, and could not brake 60mph. The engine with a full pipe would not rev to peak rpm. The double cut QD pipe instantly increased the rpm and top speed to 65mph. My best pass on radar was 66mph. I've never gain so much speed with just one change; the double cut pipe! I remember calling J&G Jack, back in late 97 early 1998, to tell him how fast I got his then new 25.6 billet to run. I told him 66mph in a Stryker, and he said he couldn't believe that!! He said the fastest speeds they where running out west was near 60 tops. So I sent him a video tape showing the boat running head-on, with the radar display climbing to 66. He then said, how do you do it? I said setup pipe & props .......True Story!!.... |
