2006 SL65 AMG V12 Bi-Turbo Engine
The new "2006 SL600 AMG 6.5 Liter V12 Bi-Turbo". Once I test drove the new
AMG twin turbo V12, I was hooked; I traded my 2005 Silver SL55 with only 4k miles. It's built
completely different then the SL55 series, from the ground up. The hood is 3" longer to accommodate the
massive 6.5 liter bi-turbo twin intercooled AMG V12 Kompressor engine. This ride is extremely smooth and solid with
greatly improved high speed cornering. Zero > 60mph in 4.2sec. It develops a ridicules 640HP @ 3500rpm with 712ft/lbs
of torque, top speed 198mph. It easily smokes the SL55 AMG supercharged V8. "ROAD & TRACK" recently wrote "The
performance of a Ferrari with the luxury of a Rolls, .....the AMG hand made Kompressor bi-turbo is currently the finest V12 made".

The Engine is completely sealed with a carbon fiber composite cover. Notice the info badge
in front of the Mercedes star: it includes dyno stats, engine #, date made, and the name of German
AMG engineer who built this V12 Kompressor engine. "One man one engine, start to finish".
