(1st) Pewter Metallic 2005 AMG SL500 After 1 week with my original pewter metallic AMG SL500, I exchanged it for the brilliant silver AMG SL55 (6 top pics).The silver was so light it looked off-white or light gray. However at night the Silver Metallic looked great. I didn't like the Slotted type wheels and the light gray interior. I traded it back for my 1st Pewter Metallic AMG SL500 (bottom pic). It can take on a champagne or silver blue tone depending on the lighting and has a light tan leather, chestnut burl wood interior. I also prefer the clean lines without the AMG body flairs and prefer the 5 spoke 18"alloy wheels. Both cars have the same AMG 5.5 liter super charged engine. With (503hp) the Pewter Metallic SL500 AMG is a real sleeper, the AMG SL's are considered to be German Ferrari's. Both the Brilliant Silver and Pewter Metallic look great, especially at night. |
