To honor the very first SL, the 300SL Roadster, a 50th Anniversary Edition will be available later in 2006. A limited production run of 550 vehicles will be offered in pewter metallic with Cognac brown leather and exclusive 19” twin-five-spoke AMG wheels. |

The 1st SL two seat roadster convertible was introduced in 1956 as the 300SL.It has evolved over the next 35 years without any changes to the body, from the 1st 300SL, the 320, 380, 420, 450, 500, and 560SL. In 1991 came the first major change in car and body style, the 500SL.This basically remained the same until 2002 when they introduced the all new SL500. However for 2007 the latest model and current style 5.5liter SL550 / is faster /more HP with improved handling etc. |
